groomQuest Class
Salon Freestyle
In Salon freestyle the object of the class is to style a breed into a different breed
You may style a Pure Breed to look like any other purebred other than what you commence with. You can also groom a cross breed to look like a pure breed. This is a fun class where you can let your imagination run. In this class you do not groom the dog you start with into it’s own breed specific groom as you do in Purebreed classes. An example would be turning a Poodle into a Kerry blue. A Bichon into a Poodle or a cross breed into any breed specific trim.
Colour and decorative ornaments are not permitted in this class unless it is something that is permitted in the conformation ring
As with most classes, care and attention should be given to cleanliness of the coat which should also be well dried. Neat clipper work with a well balanced finish and profile are always important to judges. Hygiene area , Nails & Pads are encouraged and permitted to be completed prior to entering the ring.Timeframe is 2 hours
